Demand for cosmetic intervention has always been high and popular when it comes to your face or upper body. But did you know that there were similar treatment options available for your lower body as well? Cosmetic treatments for your legs, tummy, and butt are on the rise for their quick and effective results in toning, shaping, and lifting the lower body. There are essentially three primary surgeries that you can undergo to transform your lower body. Here’s a breakdown of these treatments that will make you love your legs and butt.
Plastic surgery or cosmetic treatments that essentially deal with three body parts (tummy, thighs, and butt) and the related concerns that you may have, are collectively known as “lower body lift” or scientifically, a “belt lipectomy”. It is a surgical procedure designed to remove excess skin and fat from the outer thighs, abdomen, and buttocks. The remaining tissues are tightened to enhance body contours. The procedure effectively lifts, voluminizes, and contours the lower portion of the body. It’s important to know that although the lower body lift can have a significant impact on the outer portion of the thighs, it will not change the appearance of the inner thighs. The inner thighs are best treated with a thigh lift.Ideal candidate: The ideal candidate for a body lift is someone who has excessive, sagging skin in the lower portion of the body but is not presently obese. Usually, people who have lost a large amount of weight through either dieting and exercise or weight loss surgery, such as a gastric bypass, are excellent candidates for a lower body lift. In addition, those who have loose skin and cellulite below the waistline due to pregnancy and ageing are also good candidates.Benefits:
Recovery and downtime: Realistically, the results are variable and typically become visible anywhere within four to six weeks. Mid-body tightness and discomfort is a normal occurrence that gradually subsides over the first one to two weeks. Elastic compression garments are worn for several weeks followed by a couple of weeks during times of activity. Usually, patients are able to return to non-strenuous work activities after two weeks. Low impact exercise can begin around four weeks after surgery and by six weeks, activity is unrestricted.
Also known as a butt treatment, it is one of the fastest growing cosmetic surgical procedures globally. A butt treatment contours and shapes the area according to your preference. There are two unique techniques available to lift and plump the buttocks: Surgically placed silicone buttock implants and the analogous fat transfer or grafting, also known as the Brazilian butt lift. Implants will provide a more rounded shape for your bottom, while a fat transfer creates a natural contour and lift. Your surgeon will help decide on the right technique to achieve your desired aesthetic goals, based on your body type.Ideal candidate: For fat grafting, the surgeon begins with removing fat from an area where it is not wanted, like the stomach, thighs, or upper back, and injects it into the buttocks. Very thin patients who don’t have enough fat for liposuction might not be eligible for fat grafting, and these are the women who make good candidates for implants. Generally, butt treatments are good for those who are experiencing saggy or loose skin after having lost a significant amount of weight; those who want it for aesthetic reasons; and those who want to fight natural signs of ageing.Benefits:
Recovery and downtime: Post surgery, you will be required to wear a special compression garment that is designed to facilitate the healing process. Recovering from butt treatment requires mostly laying down or standing for at least a couple of weeks after the surgery. You won’t be able to sit down right away and may feel sore or tender when you do. After two weeks you should be able to resume work and normal activities. The results are fully visible within a few months.
Scientifically known as a ‘thighplasty’, a thigh lift is a surgical procedure designed to re-shape the inner thighs resulting in more proportionate and even thighs.Ideal candidate: The ideal candidate includes people whose weight is relatively stable, those who have excess soft tissue along the inner (medial) thigh region and/or the outer (lateral) thigh or those who want to make the region more firm and toned. Benefits:
Recovery and downtime: In most cases, compressive wraps are placed on the thighs and you may experience pain for the first 24 to 48 hours. Legs should be kept elevated as much as possible and strenuous physical activity is not recommended for at least four weeks. It depends from person to person for the final appearance to be visible, but usually it takes anywhere between four to six weeks.
Addressing all the concerns of your lower body with one treatment is difficult, but it is not impossible. Treatments like the lower body lift, or the Biolite Body Blitz Program, help sculpt and contour your lower body with little to no downtime. In the Body Blitz Program, light plays a major role. It is central in the design and function of the 3-in-1 treatment (G5, radiofrequency and transion) providing control and elimination of cellulite and breaking down of fat. It uses isotonic muscle contraction to improve tissue strength, reduce tissue fluid, and increase the metabolic rate encouraging inch loss, improved muscle tone and body reshaping. The Biolite Pressotherapy is another exclusive detoxifying treatment, which helps promote the body’s natural toxin clearing functions through effective lymphatic drainage. The revitalisation and oxygenation of the tissue helps to slim and redefine the legs and stomach while enhancing skin tone.To know more about the treatments, book a consultation with us here, or call on +971 4 346 6641.FEATURED IMAGE COURTESY: Diana.grytsku for Freepik.com
